Kayla and Liam got married! They celebrated at Durker Roods Hotel, Meltham on the outskirts of Huddersfield over the weekend. Their colour scheme of mint and peach, which is such a gorgeous colour combination. They chose a rustic mint and peach wedding cake.
Jane from Woo B Woo provided some stunning flowers in shades of pink and peach, including some stunning David Austin roses and astilbe. Here’s a shot of the bridal bouquet – how gorgeous!?
I was able to use some of the spare flowers to decorate the cake. The wedding cake was finished in a semi-naked style with mint green buttercream, hessian ribbon and LOVE Scrabble letters. I displayed the cake on a white pedestal cake stand. Kayla had a strong idea of how she wanted her cake to look, and I was so pleased to be able to bring her vision to life. I love this mint and peach wedding cake!
Jane from Woo B Woo created some adorable Lego button holes for the couple’s sons to wear. She also used amazing Art Deco vintage tea cups to create some beautiful floral displays for the top table, and the colours all tied in perfectly with the details chosen by Kayla.
I really love the copper lanterns used to line the aisle, and the rose gold sequin runners. I have one for my wedding fair display table! The rustic wooden touches really added to the overall feel of the scheme, and tied in perfectly with the wooden Scrabble letters used on the wedding cake.
Wishing Kayla and Liam much love and happiness x
