Here’s a stunning four tier semi-naked wedding cake we created for Sarah’s wedding at The 3 Acres in Huddersfield. The cake was decorated with fresh flowers by Lesley at Hobsons Florists in Holmfirth, who also kindly sent me this picture.
Bea and Courtney had a gorgeous autumnal wedding at East Riddlesden Hall. From the leaves decorating the aisle to the tables named after trees, the barn at East Riddlesden Hall looked beautiful with their autumnal decor.
We created a naked cake with three different flavours and decorated it with lots of autumnal berries, figs and dried fruits. This autumnal wedding cake was displayed on a personalised tree stump cake stand which fit the theme perfectly.
I delivered this wedding cake with fresh flowers and macarons to the Craiglands Hotel, Ilkey. It’s a beautiful building that can accommodate weddings with a large number of guests. The staff are really friendly and Harriet (the wedding coordinator) is so helpful.
This is one of my favourite styles of cake to make. Three sleek iced white tiers, coated with ganache and artisan sugarpaste then dressed with beautiful fresh flowers and home made macarons. I love the colours of hot pink! The cake was displayed on a crystal stand provided by the bride and groom and had some sparkly crystals scattered around.
Aneesa and her husband had chosen flavours of toffee, vanilla and chocolate for their cake. This wedding cake with fresh flowers and macarons was a joy to make!
Isn’t this the most beautiful room? I’ve got serious chandelier envy.
Huge congratulations to the happy couple! x
PS – I LOVED this sign. I got married in the days before Instagram and Facebook etc but I would definitely have had this!

When the brief for this styled shoot landed, I couldn’t wait! Laura and Kym from Once Upon a Wedding came up with a stunning brief for us all. Modern, Asian fusion, jewel tones – sounds divine! Think Indian summer meets traditional English wedding. Our jewel toned modern wedding cake with accents of gold and macarons fitted in perfectly. The setting was just amazing. Cutlers Hall is a magnificent building chock full of history and with some of the grandest chandeliers and original features I’ve seen. It’s centrally located in Sheffield city centre and is the perfect venue for a sumptuous wedding.
Anna from Anna’s Attic created a sumptuous low level tablescape using brass, jewel toned flowers and beautiful candles. Comfy cushions in a variety of textures and colours complete the look. Lisa from Lisa Jayne Stationery had some incredible laser cut stationery in tones and colours which perfectly matched the scheme. The flowers for the base of the cake were from Polkadot Florists and were stunning. The models wore stunning dresses from Susannah Greening and Sassi Holford at The White Room. The stunning hairstyles were created by Kirby Blythe and the make up was by Pose Sheffield. The models also had intricate mehndi by Mendhi by Iram.
This weekend saw the wedding of Chloe and Steve, and we provided their blush pink floral semi-naked wedding cake. They chose the beautiful setting of East Riddlesden Hall for their celebrations and an utterly dreamy colour scheme of pinks and greenery.
Chloe says they tried to make their wedding true to them – one big laidback party with celebrating with family and friends. When Holly and I arrived to set up the wedding cake, most of the other suppliers had already set their bits up, and it looked as though it would be an amazing wedding! Games on the lawn provided by Add Vintage, a photobooth from Booth Revolution and music from The Warning Tones all set the tone for a fabulous fun day. We provided the beautiful blush pink floral semi-naked wedding cake.
The couple chose Lynne from Stems Design to dress the barn at East Riddlesden Hall for them, and it looked stunning. A silver birch arch was to be the backdrop for the ceremony. Lighting from Typical Type intertwined with the greenery in the barn, and the heart shaped light behind the wedding cake was fabulous!
Chloe chose a three tier wedding cake finished in the ever popular semi-naked style, dressed with some fresh flowers from Stems and some macarons. I made the macarons in a beautiful pink colour which tied in perfectly with the overall scheme.
These guys made an appearance too, out on the lawns of East Riddlesden Hall!
Wishing Chloe and Steve love and happiness, and hope they have an amazing time honeymooning in America! Lucky things x
How’s this for a beautiful semi-naked wedding cake? Tom and Amy got married over the weekend at the beautiful Durker Roods Hotel in the picturesque village of Meltham, just outside Holmfirth. I was honoured to be asked to create their wedding cake, especially as the brief was such a brilliant one!
The couple wanted to incorporate beautiful seasonal fresh flowers into their cake design. They had asked talented local grower and florist Alison from Flowers from the Garden to supply their floral arrangements, made up of stunning seasonal flowers including roses, geraniums and astrantia. I dressed the cake using some of Alison’s beautiful fresh flowers and snuck a few macarons on there too to add extra pops of colour. I love the colours of this cake. The flowers add such a zingy cherry feel!
Alison also supplied flowers for decorating the hotel and for the place names too, which incorporated a simple lavender flower. Sometimes something simple is all you need.
Tom and Amy chose to display their cake on our rustic tree stump cake stand, and had macarons as favours for their guests too. I love their use of a picnic hamper to collect cards!
As it’s the school holidays, I had my little helper with me. She managed to photobomb a few of my images!
Sending love and congratulations to Amy and Tom, and I wish them all the best for their honeymoon in Cyprus. The weather there will definitely better than what we have here at the moment!

Kayla and Liam got married! They celebrated at Durker Roods Hotel, Meltham on the outskirts of Huddersfield over the weekend. Their colour scheme of mint and peach, which is such a gorgeous colour combination. They chose a rustic mint and peach wedding cake.
Jane from Woo B Woo provided some stunning flowers in shades of pink and peach, including some stunning David Austin roses and astilbe. Here’s a shot of the bridal bouquet – how gorgeous!?
I was able to use some of the spare flowers to decorate the cake. The wedding cake was finished in a semi-naked style with mint green buttercream, hessian ribbon and LOVE Scrabble letters. I displayed the cake on a white pedestal cake stand. Kayla had a strong idea of how she wanted her cake to look, and I was so pleased to be able to bring her vision to life. I love this mint and peach wedding cake!
Jane from Woo B Woo created some adorable Lego button holes for the couple’s sons to wear. She also used amazing Art Deco vintage tea cups to create some beautiful floral displays for the top table, and the colours all tied in perfectly with the details chosen by Kayla.
I really love the copper lanterns used to line the aisle, and the rose gold sequin runners. I have one for my wedding fair display table! The rustic wooden touches really added to the overall feel of the scheme, and tied in perfectly with the wooden Scrabble letters used on the wedding cake.
Wishing Kayla and Liam much love and happiness x

In need of some marquee wedding inspiration? Lucie and Rob created a beautiful setting for their wedding reception in a Wills Marquee at Smallshaw Farm Cottages, Deanhouse. Lucie and Rob are such a lovely couple, and it was a real pleasure to be a small part of their big day. Here are some pictures of the floral wedding cake, and a few pictures of the dreamy decor…
They chose a three tiered wedding cake, finished with white chocolate ganache. The rustic finish they chose fit perfectly with the abundant floral scheme they had within the marquee. The cake was dressed with fresh flowers from their florist, Of the Wild in Sheffield.
The floral chandeliers were stunning! Created by Kath at Of the Wild in Sheffield, these two beautiful arrangements were a real focal point within the marquee.
When the gorgeous Clair sent me a message asking for a quote for her cake, I knew it was one I really wanted to make. She chose an elegant ivory theme, with sugar roses and hydrangeas. Simple, elegant and understated – perfect! A beautiful ivory roses wedding cake.
I delivered to the stunning Whitley Hall on the morning of Clair’s wedding, wincing every time I bumped over one of the huge speed humps in the car park! I presume they’re to protect the peacock that roams around the grounds 😉 The cake arrived in one piece thankfully, and I was able to set it up, all ready for the wedding breakfast.
The room looked stunning, complete with starlit backdrop and giant LOVE letters. Massive congratulations to Clair and her husband xx
