So a while ago I went for a coffee with Alison from Alison Jane Bridal in Mirfield, and we were having a chat about bridal photoshoots and how it’s so fun to do one, especially when it’s reflective of a current trend. Within about 5 minutes we were super excited and planning our first shoot together!
We had a few initial ideas, but a few weeks later I went on a course run by the simply amazing Pamella Dunn and met Sian from Sian Chaplin Events there. I knew we needed her organisational skills for the shoot, and it’s such a good job we had her in the team because we had a few hiccups along the way, not least of which were a venue change, a model change and a last minute hair and make up artist replacement! Without Sian and her cool head, I’m not sure what we’d have done, but she managed to keep everyone calm and organised replacements for us.
Sarah from Farm Styling was someone I’ve worked with in the past, and her knowledge and skills together with an eye for detail and design were amazing for this shoot. She came up with some stunning floral arrangements and displays, and as she had been to the Chapelgarth Estate previously she knew where best to work and how to get the most out of the day.
We had the beautiful Kayleigh Richmond as our model for the day, and she was so professional and easy to work with, despite us having her wander round the stunning grounds in the freezing cold in a sleeveless dress! Stephanie Duerden was the make up artist for the day and created just the right look for Kayleigh, which worked so well with the dress Alison had picked out for Kayleigh to wear.
We also had some stationery from Jane Beadnell which fit the whole scheme perfectly.
Our photographer for the day was Arabella Smith. Arabella is so talented it’s untrue, so I was so excited when she agreed to be involved. Her style is light, feminine and fit perfectly for the theme of our shoot.
NOW – I can’t give too much away, but here are a few behind the scenes shots of our day at the stunning Chapelgarth Estate in Great Broughton.
It was an absolute joy to work with these talented creative people and I can’t wait to reveal more pictures!
